Intellectual outputs of the project:
interactive web application – an interactive web app for the development of critical thinking and media literacy. Except of theoretical information about the topics, it’s main goal is to develop critical thinking skills, to support argumentation and to search for relevant sources and information on the addressed topics.
Educational Guide – A handbook for the development of critical thinking skills, media literacy, digital citizenship and online safety. The publication will also contain instructions how to work with these topics using non-formal teaching methods and techniques.
Other project activities:
Two-phase international training for youth leaders, workers, and educators on the following topics: critical thinking in the online environment, media literacy, digital citizenship and safe use of ICT. It will be realized for Slovak and Czech participants both in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
During the project, we plan to execute at least 15 educational workshops.
In summer 2021, we will hold two conferences. One conference will take place in Slovakia and the second in the Czech Republic. The conferences will include a presentation of project outputs and the other activities that we want to focus on in the future.
Other benefits of this projects:
– to increase awareness about critical thinking, media literacy and safe internet usage and how to work with these topics
– to create a space for cross-sectoral cooperation for the development of critical thinking and media literacy
– to create a tool for informing about mentioned topics and developing critical thinking skills and media literacy in the online environment (interactive web app + publication)
– to support work with young people through non-formal education in project topics and develop young people’s key skills.
